City Council plans for summer

Winter is finally on its way out, and the Buffalo Center City Council looked ahead to summer activities during its monthly meeting on March 13.

The Council hired coaches for Buffalo Center’s summer parks program. Marty Schaefer will return as coach pitch and t-ball instructor. For boys’ little league, Ross Koppen was selected to coach the peewee team, while Dustin Lorenzen will coach the midgets. The City did not receive any applications for coaching the girls’ little league program, but Mayor Davids says they have someone in mind to ask.

Other summer workers include Sarah Paulson, who will return as pool manager, and mowers Jim Hofbauer and De- Wayne Maass. Hofbauer will also serve as the shelter house caretaker. In addition, the Council hired Nick Sabin to help with tasks this summer as needed.
