City Council gets update on EMS levy plans

Winnebago County is working on plans to implement the EMS levy and income surtax that voters approved last fall, and the Buffalo Center City Council got an update on the topic at its April 10 meeting. Jason Sturgal, who is working with the EMS Advisory Council, and Supervisor Bill Jensvold shared information about options the Advisory Council is considering.

One option is to direct the funding to the Forest City ambulance service to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) for the entire county. Jensvold said he’s opposed to that plan.
