Community members are expressing both support and concerns for the idea of moving to a four-day school week at North Iowa Community Schools. The school held two meetings over the past two weeks where people had the opportunity to share comments and ask questions.
Supt. Joe Erickson says North Iowa is exploring the idea of a four-day school as a way to help the school to recruit and retain teachers and staff. He hopes a four-day schedule could also help to improve attendance, culture, and connections between the school and the community.
